Hello world! After all I’m a software guy!

Hello world! After all I’m a software guy!

Hello! hope you are doing great today!

First, I want to make it clear: I am not a traveller, nor a writer – and this is not a travel blog either. When I do travel, I make myself a good traveler – at least, I try.

I am a software developer by profession who loves to get on a plane. I have been to a few countries(one or two cities in each country) so far and want to hit many more. I don’t count how many countries I visit. I don’t count the quick stops. When I want to travel, I really like to spend more days in each place, wanting to know more about it – trying their food, knowing their culture, the people and you know the rest, blah blah blah. I like to stay longer so that I can grasp a good sense of that place.

Planes & Aviation.

Everyone might have their own version of a child within them. I become a child when I see a plane. To be very clear, I get excited when I see commercial airliners. You know, those Boeings and Airbuses. I still remember my first flight, at the age of eight from Colombo, Sri Lanka to Trichi, India with Air Lanka. The memories are still vivid – the excitement, the experience and the ambience. I still have the same level of excitement every single time I get on a plane. I become that 8 year old child when I board a flight.

Photography

I do take photos. On my way back from Rome, Italy, I was looking through my photo gallery on my phone and realized I don’t have a good photo of the Colosseum or any other ruins. That was the trigger point that made me a photographer. Ever since, I started investing in gear, and I made it a priority to capture photos of the iconic places in each destination. I am an amateur photographer who is learning the craft as I take photos.London skyline across river Thames during sunset.

I’m Jana Sivarajah, and this is my travel blog (Ha! I lied).

Cheers,
Jana
